  It looks like Alcatel is jumping into the Windows market by releasing some of their more popular phones with a Windows version.  The Pop 2 is one of their newer and more popular models that boasts an excellent processor and specs.  The following review is brought to you by Jane McEntegart of Mobilesyrup.

  Amid the flurry of new devices from IFA last week was Alcatel One Touch’s line of Pop 2 devices. This line of Android devices includes five different panel sizes and was based on Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 410. Now, Alcatel One Touch has revealed that it is planning another Pop 2 device, this one running Windows Phone. The Pop 2 with Windows Phone will be the first Windows Phone device powered by a 64-bit chip.

  It’s not clear whether Alcatel One Touch has five different versions of the Android-based Pop 2, but it looks like it’s only going to have one Windows Phone version. WMPoweruser reports that the device packs a 4.5-inch display along with the aforementioned Snapdragon 410 chip clocked to 1.2 Ghz, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of onboard storage, a 4-megapixel camera with LED flash,  a VGA camera up front for video calling and selfies, and a 2000 mAh battery. Like the Android models, the Windows Phone Pop 2 will also have support for LTE.

  No word on North American pricing but European pricing is apparently set at €119, which translates to just under $169.

The Alcatel One Touch Hero 8 has a 8-inch full HD screen, powered by a MediaTek MT8392 Octa-Core processor, which is a new chip and it is has LTE support powered by MT6290 LTE modem. It runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat), has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
